1. The ₹9,000 Reality Check
Forget the old ₹5,000 figure you see in outdated videos. As of March 2026, the monthly stipend has been increased to ₹9,000.
-
Government Pay: ₹8,100 (Directly into your Aadhaar-linked bank account).
-
Company Pay: ₹900 (From their CSR funds).
-
The Bonus: You still get the ₹6,000 one-time joining grant to help with clothes or travel when you start.
2. Huge Eligibility Update: Final Year Students are IN
This is the main reason for the search spike. Previously, you had to be a graduate to apply. In the latest April 2026 update, the Ministry has officially allowed final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students to apply.
-
The Condition: You just need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your college.
-
Age Range: Now 18 to 25 years (relaxed from the previous 21–24 bracket).
3. The “Aadhaar Seeding” Trap
Many applications are getting stuck because of a technicality. You must ensure your bank account is “Aadhaar Seeded” via the NPCI mapper. Without this, the portal won’t let you complete your profile, and you won’t receive your stipend. Check your status on the portal under “My Profile.”
4. Sectors Hiring Right Now (April 2026)
Companies like TATA, Reliance, and HDFC are currently listing roles in:
